Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. She made her movie debut as the Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte played Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Photographer approached Doody Doody took up modelling, which turned into an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was extremely determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. This rule extended into her acting career. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took probably her most high-profile part in her career as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was a co-star in the year 1991 alongside Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called The Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's character. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody who was away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 for a minor part on the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her in a scene during the ceremony for awards. In 2004, she appeared in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In 2011, she was scheduled to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way.
